High Noon BJJ & Fitness LLC (“High Noon BJJ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a martial arts academy in Alexandria, Virginia and the member-facing website at member.highnoonbjj.com and highnoonbjj.com. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect from members, prospective members, and visitors, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
#information-we-collectWe collect the following categories of information:
- Account & contact information — name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, emergency contact information.
- Payment information — billing details necessary to process your membership. Credit card and bank account numbers are stored by our payment processor (PaySimple), not by us. We retain only the last four digits and processor reference identifiers.
- Membership records — class enrollment, attendance history, belt rank, training notes, and waiver acknowledgments.
- Communications — emails and text messages you send to us and our responses, including SMS opt-in records and opt-out (STOP) requests.
- Site usage — basic technical information such as browser type, device, IP address, and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and analytics cookies.

- To send you account, scheduling, and operational communications by email and SMS, such as schedule changes, event notifications, payment reminders, and safety updates.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.

- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

- Schedule changes and class cancellations
- Event notifications (open mats, seminars, competitions)
- Account and payment-related notifications
Message frequency varies and is typically fewer than four messages per month. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or text HELP for assistance. See our Terms of Service for the full SMS program details.
Your choices
#your-choices- Email preferences — you can opt out of non-essential email at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing us.
- SMS opt-out — reply STOP to any text message to be removed from future texts. We retain the opt-out request so we do not text you again.
- Access & deletion — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing tim@highnoonbjj.com. We will respond within 30 days. Some records (such as signed waivers and billing records) must be retained for legal and insurance purposes.
Children
#childrenMemberships for children under 13 are arranged by a parent or legal guardian, who provides the contact information on the child’s behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. SMS messages about a child’s class are sent only to the parent or guardian phone number on file.
Data retention & security
#retention-securityWe retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for our legitimate business purposes (typically seven years for billing and seven years for signed waivers). We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage where supported, and role-based access controls. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.
Changes to this policy
#changesWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or SMS where appropriate.
